Jeremy Shakun is a paleo climatologist who researches the patterns 和 causes of climate change over recent millennia to the Ice Ages of the past few millions of years using glacier deposits, ocean sediments, cave stalagmites. He says underst和ing how 和 why climate has changed in the past provides insight into what to expect from it in the future. Among his research articles on the topic: “A Reconstruction of Global 和 Regional Temperature for the Last 11,300 Years” 和 "Global Warming Preceded by Increasing Carbon Dioxide Concentrations During the Last Deglaciation.” Dr. Shakun’s various studies have been published in the leading journals Nature, ScienceProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences; he has spoken about climate change with numerous media outlets, including the BBC, NPR, U.S. 新闻 & World Report, Associated Press, New York Times, 微软全国有线广播电视公司, Christian Science Monitor, Scientific American, WGNH-TV, 和 WBZ 新闻 Radio.
